A French Saint Cloud mounted porcelain snuffbox







A French Saint Cloud porcelain imitating Chinese blanc de Chine snuffbox in the shape of a seated and smiling chinaman ( Buddha type) , his coat with cherry flowers in relief, the vermeil ( silver gilt) mounts probably Parisian and of the period, open to show the inside of the pill or snuff box.

The lid has been restored but the restoration is invisible .

Length 6 cm ( 2 1/2 inches ) x width 5 cm ( 2 inches ) x height 7 cm ( 2 3/4 inches)
